Innovision Converts Camel Feed Barn Into Studio

3/01/03, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

In March of 2003, Innovision Optics was invited by Diyar Najed, a production company in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to create a video production of the 15 X 20 foot scale architectural model of the proposed redevelopment of the city. Riyadh, the capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, extends 600 square miles (1600 square kilometers) and maintains a population of more than 4.7 million. In recent years Riyahd has become a high-tech oasis, a city striving for economic growth and redevelopment while maintaining its traditional Arab culture.

In order to create a quality production of the scale model, InnoVision Optics converted a barn used to feed the royal family’s camel into a high-tech production studio for Diyar Najed Studios. The transformation required Innovision Optics to deliver 6 tons of production lights, camera equipment, and electrical gear to Riyadh. Within one week of arrival Innovision-Optics transformed the former barn into a motion control production center and over the next 2 weeks produced video footage of the redevelopment model by shooting both the scale architectural model, as well as sections of Riyadh locations. The project was successfully completed in three weeks and the Diyar Najed Studio requested to purchase all the equipment delivered by Innovision-Optics.
