Innovision
Optics' new High Definition (HD) Probe Lens received rave reviews from first
time user Katy Garton who utilized the lens to shoot inside a Wyoming national
park's thermal pools. "The probe was incredibly easy to use," stated Garton, a
graduate student at the University of Montana who is documenting a study of
microorganisms.
Despite challenging environmental conditions, Garton was able to attain the
quality of shots she desired. "In the end, the HD probe was very forgiving and
the quality of the lens paid off - I got the shots I needed and they turned out
beautiful."
The HD Probe comes with three attachments that allow the camera to see in three
different directions: direct, 45- and 90-degree angles of view. Since the HD
Probe is waterproof up to ten inches from the
front lens, it is the perfect instrument for intimate shots in hard to reach
areas. The lens system additionally incorporates a 15" long lens barrel with a
diameter of just 1.7" (42 mm) and five prime
lenses (5 mm, 8 mm, 12 mm, 17 mm and 23 mm) that are interchangeable at the
front mount.
